HOW DO I KNOW IF ACUPUNCTURE WILL HELP ME? |
Acupuncture can help the body cure itself in most cases but not all. Dr Magner will take a detailed history from you at your first visit—then he will use his knowledge of traditional medicine and acupuncture to make a determination. If you can be helped by acupuncture, Dr Magner will suggest treatment. If not, he will refer to the physician he believes will be most likely to help you. |

DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE FOR PAYMENT? |
Insurance companies vary in their approval of acupuncture treatments. Our office accepts payment by cash or check. We then issue you a receipt which you may submit to your insurance company for the reimbursement permitted by your policy. |

DOES ACUPUNCTURE HURT? |
Not really. Most people barely notice the tiny needle enter the skin. Some people may feel a brief achy feeling for a few seconds when the needle is advanced a few mm. beneath the skin. |

WILL THE NEEDLES MAKE ME BLEED? |
The needles are very fine and are inserted just beneath the skin. There is hardly ever bleeding and even when there is, it is just a drop or two after the needle is removed. It stops with brief, light pressure. |

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS? |
Acupuncture is unique in that it is usually free of any side effects after treatment. The most common after-effect is a sense of relaxation or fatigue for a number of hours after treatment. For this reason, you will want to avoid alcohol or strenuous exercise on the day of your treatment. |
